Despite the rainy weather yesterday and most of the palaces closed in Sintra we still managed to have a wonderful day with our guide Peppe! He truly goes above and beyond. He knows so much history, took us to the best place for lunch overlooking the ocean and never rushed us. I highly recommend booking a day tour with peppe! Just back from a fabulous 9 day trip to Lisbon and Porto (rented a car and saw everything in between too). We absolutely loved Portugal - the people, food, cities and scenery were amazing!
Definitely one of the highlights of our trip was the day we spent with Peppe Santagata. We found him through this site and we’re so lucky we did. He took us for a day tour to Sintra , Cabo de Roca and Cascais. He was so easy to be with - the perfect mix of knowledge and fun and our two young adult sons also loved him. He knew all the secrets to avoiding lines and picked up quickly on what we wanted to do and see. He was so warm and engaging and offered us help and guidance whenever we needed it throughout our stay. I highly recommend him.

We just got back from a two-week trip to Portugal and wanted to recommend a wonderful tour guide, Peppe. It was our first time hiring a tour guide for a daily excursion and I'm grateful that we did. Our first day included Quinta Da Regalieria and a hike through the Valley of the Lakes and the Moorish Ruins. Peppe was adaptable and adjusted the day's schedule as he knew we liked a little extra time to walk and explore the ruins. We enjoyed the day so much that we booked a second trip the following day that included Fatima, Batalha Monastery, Nazare, and the magnificent medieval Village of Obidos. Peppe was kind enough to change his day off so that he could be our guide for the day. He has a passion for history and enjoys sharing everything that he knows about Portugal and provided excellent recommendations for dining and accommodations in other parts of the country.
